Project Bio

I am working on a regenerative strategy for spinal cord injury repair. My project is based upon our groups' entubulation strategy, in which a hydrogel tube is used to support and direct growth across a gap in nervous tissue. My role is to incorporate drug delivery capabilities into the tube wall, which would allow for therapeutic manipulation of the local environment. In particular, we are interested in being able to direct the differentiation of a pre-seeded neural stem cell population through the delivery of certain growth factors.
